Gucci Mane Secures His 2018 Hit With Bruno Mars Collaboration "Wake Up In The Sky": Song Premiere
Last year Gucci Mane had only one hit of his, the song “I Get The Bag” featuring Migos from the “Mr. Davis” album. And this year the rapper is looking to have at least one big hit too. And how does he achieve that? Recruiting another amazing collaborator. Last year he had the guys of Migos and this year he has Bruno Mars (and Kodak Black too but let’s be honest, Bruno is the only one who mattershere). “Wake Up In The Sky” is the title of the new Gucci Mane single, which will appear on his forthcoming “Evil Genius” album, and the song arrived on digital platforms this Friday morning. Will it be a hit? I think so. Because A) Bruno Mars is featured in it, B) Bruno Mars sings the chorus and C) the chorus is so catchy and it gets stuck in your head immediately.
The song lyrics are about the high life and being “fly” every day.
In this song, Bruno Mars also reveals his secret with the ladies, although the lyrics and the formulation of his secret is quite tragic and misogynistic and objectifying: “I know I'm super fly (I know), I know I'm super fly (I know) / The ladies love the luxury (yeah), / That's why they all fuck with me (woo)”. But why does this sung has to sound so freaking catchy? Grrr.
