George Ezra Makes SNL Debut, Performs "Budapest" & "Blame It On Me": Watch
George Ezra, the 21-year-old folk-rock English singer who amazed music critics with his debut album “Wanted on Voyage” last year, is on a quest to break America. If only a couple of months ago he performed on “Ellen”, last night (March 28) the talented musician set a new milestone in his career, and took one huge step forward in his mission to conquer the US, by making his “Saturday Night Live” debut. George was the musical guest on the Dwayne Johnson-hosted 16th episode of Season 40 of the legendary NBC show. There, he performed live “Budapest” and “Blame It On Me”.
He was solid. He played his guitar with comfort, the band sounded great, and George Ezra just nailed his “SNL” debut. I’m sure he was nervous, but it didn’t show. What did show was that he is an incredible talent, has amazing songwriting skills and one beautiful voice. “Budapest” is still on the rise on the US charts and sure this “SNL” gig will cause a boost in sales and airplay.
