Fergie, Nicole Scherzinger, Leona Lewis, Kelsea Ballerini & Many More Premiere Climate Action Anthem “Love Song to the Earth”: Listen Now
Deja vu? No, I’m not crazy yet.
This IS the song that British singer Natasha Bedingfield debuted exactly a year ago at the United Nations Climate Summit 2014 in New York City. The emotional acoustic-y “Love Song To The Earth” (an anthem to support climate action) , co-written by the “These Words” star and hitmaker Toby Gad, was a song believed to have been exclusively written for that summit last year, so imagine my surprise when I see it’s been “revamped” by having a long list of artists re-record it. The new version was released on iTunes today and can be purchased for just $0.69. All proceeds from this song will be destined to Friends of the Earth U.S. and the United Nations Foundation.
The full list of artists participating now in the new version of “Love Song To The Earth” is as follows: Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow, Fergie, Colbie Caillat, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis, Sean Paul, Johnny Rzeznik, Krewella, Angélique Kidjo, Kelsea Ballerini, Nicole Scherzinger, Christina Grimmie, Victoria Justice & Q'orianka Kilcher.
The new aim of this revamped version of the Natasha Bedingfield song is to raise again global awareness about the climate issue before the 2015 Unite Nations Climate Change Conference is held in November/Decembe in Paris.
Since this is a charity single, and its sole inspiration was the global warming issue our planet is facing, I refuse to give the song one of my signature reviews (although I'm sure some of you already know what would I say), and will just give my entire support to the song’s cause. I will make a purchase on iTunes too! I really hope “Love Song To The Earth” 2.0 make people not caring yet about this serious issue react.
PS: When is Natasha Bedingfield going to give us a new album!??
