Estelle - Break My Heart (Music Video!)
British R&B songstress Estelle world premiered the music video for her new single "Break My Heart" last night (June 22nd) during a visit she did on BET's '106 & Park' - The visual for the Rick Ross-assisted single, and second *official* offering from Estelle's upcoming album "All of Me", was directed by Iren Sheffield and Chris Robinson and filmed in Los Angeles earlier this month.
"Break My Heart" is a really good throwback track, with flawless soul vocals by Estelle, but it's just missing that SPARK to consider it a radio or R&B smash. I know Estelle is fed up of the "American Boy" comparisons, but that's the way it is. It's her BEST song, she did magic on it, found the perfect melody and singing, clever (relatable) lyrics, everything was fantastic. Howver, ever since that, her songs have been okay but missing that spark. "Break My Heart" is another example, it's a good song but not up to the level to what Estelle is capable to offer and do. And the music video doesn't help either, it's a snoozefest. The same mansion views, the shiny Mercedez, the sun lounger, the iPad plug...I'm not here for this. If I were Estelle, I would demand Chris Robinson a refund. Rehash concept.
