Ella Henderson - "Glow" [Music Video]
Ugh! I don’t like it when the music video premiere is also the song premiere. (Why can’t the label space both out?). That’s what just happened in Ella Henderson’s camp. The music video for the British singer-songwriter’s new single “Glow” was premiered in the morning of Tuesday, August 12th on VEVO.
“Glow” is the follow-up to her platinum-certified and Ryan Tedder-penned debut single "Ghost" which debuted at #1 on the UK Singles Chart in June. Ella Henderson may have finished in sixth place on the 2012 edition of “The X Factor UK”, but she’s proving she can be more successful than most of the actual show winners. “Glow” will be officially released in the UK on September 15th, just one week before Ella’s first album “Chapter One” hits stores nationwide.
“Glow” single / music video review
Very in the line of “Ghost". If that went #1, I have no doubts “Glow” will follow the same path. “Glow”, produced by Steve Mac, is a pop mid-tempo with a vibe of a sadness and melancholy. Ella’s deep voice makes a perfect fit with this song.
As for the music video, just like “Ghost”, the music video for “Glow” also has a sort of 'dark’ theme, despite of the song title. The video shows Ella belting the song in a field, while a group of teenagers wander about an industrial site and do a cool - kind of 'tribal' – dance at nigh time. When daylight is almost back, the adolescents walk through the field Ella was singing in and make their way back home. Cool video, and I get the message. We are the youth, we are full of life, and we are glowing!
