Ella Henderson Covers "Hold Back The River", Does "Mirror Man" Acoustic On BBC "Live Lounge"
Last year Ella Henderson performed for the first time on BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” sessions as she was promoting the hits “Ghost” and “Glow” from her debut album “Chapter One”, but today (March 12) those songs are a thing of the past as the talented singing lady has a new single out and that's "Mirror Man". And BBC Radio 1 was so kind to invite the 19-year-old again to the Fearne Cotton-hosted show to delight us with a couple more of acoustical performances.
First song she did today around noon (UK time) on the "Live Lounge" was her new "Chapter One" single "Mirror Man" - whose music video recently premiered - and she sounded JUST as the studio version. Only a few artists can achieve that and Ella's part of the VIP club. I like "Mirror Man" but as I have already told you many times before, I would've preferred "Empire" as the next single but it's all ok because I know it will get the single treatment sooner or later.
The second and final song Ella Henderson acoustically did today on the BBC Radio 1's show was a cover of James Bay’s 2014 Top 10 UK hit “Hold Back the River” (from the British singer’s debut “Chaos and the Calm”). Oh my god. Such an excellent cover choice! Ella slayed this, made the song her own, and kind of improved it?
