Ella Eyre Shows Cashiers Can Be Fun Too In “Together” Music Video: Watch
I think you can shoot a prettier music video especially if you’re doing it in Barcelona.
British singer Ella Eyre, aka. The Queen of drum & bass, dropped on VEVO last night (April 14) the official music video for her newest single “Together” - from her upcoming debut album “Feline” - which will be digitally released in the UK on May 17th. I know, why so long (a month!) to be able to buy the song on iTunes? It’s just the British music industry way to do these things.
“Together” smells like ‘number 1’ material to me and if my senses are right in a month time from now Ella will be celebrating the first #1 single of her career. True that in the last few months she’s released a couple of singles that have also smelled like ‘number 1’ to me and ultimately didn’t top the UK Singles Chart but were so close, but there’s something about “Together” that really gets my hopes up.

Back to the “Together” music video, it was directed by Craig Moore and as I said it was filmed in the beautiful Spanish city of Barcelona. The plot of the MV consists of: Ella Eyre works as a cashier at a mini-market, her friends come to her rescue to save her from another boring day at her dead-end job and from there it’s all going to be fun. First, they’ll make a mess of Ella’s work place, then they’ll sneak in places they’re not supposed to be, rent a van to take us viewers on a tour around the city, Ella will belt out the hook of her song while walking the BCN streets and finally all of the troop will end their hectic day in the beach.
It’s an alright music video, I get the ‘youth and rebellious’ theme (I feel like I’ve seen this same theme in a music video so many times, though…where did originality go, Ella?), but I just wish the music video wouldn’t been ‘prettier’ – showing us the most amazing areas of Barcelona and not just random streets and an a deserted beach.
