Ed Sheeran & The Veronicas Perform on "The X Factor Australia" (Videos)
Ed Sheeran and The Veronicas were guest performers on "The X Factor Australia" on Monday (Sept. 29). The British singer was there to promote his latest album "X" while the Aussie sisters to perform for the first time on TV their iTunes #1 new hit.
Ginger-haired singer Ed Sheeran performed two tracks from "X"; the Ellie Goulding-inspired "Don't" (an anti-cheating women anthem) and the next confirmed single "Thinking Out Loud". I really like the 'Ellie' song but I just love "Thinking Out Loud". I am so happy Atlantic's decided to release it as the next Ed single. I'm expecting multiple #1s around the world for this song! And I love the fact it sounds so well LIVE. Also, power to Ed. He got to perform two songs on "The X Factor Australia", and not many artists get to do that.
The Veronicas performed for the first time on television "You Ruin Me", the lead single from their forthcoming studio album. The performance was really powerful, and I'm happy for them to have scored an iTunes #1 with "You Ruin Me", but I'm losing interest in this song so fast. Sorry! I hope single #2 doesn't take too long to arrive. The Origliasso sisters sang "You Ruin Me" really well last night and the whole concept of the performance translated really well on TV. They certainly deserved that standing ovation.
