Ed Sheeran Covers Hozier's "Take Me To Church" on BBC "Live Lounge"
Ed Sheeran stopped by BBC Radio 1's Fearne Cotton-hosted "Live Lounge" show to perform a two-song acoustic set on Tuesday midday (Sept. 30). The ginger-haired singer performed the next single from "X" and a mystery cover. Watch videos below!!
The "X" song Ed performed was the engagement/wedding anthem "Thinking Out Loud", which he co-wrote with Amy Wadge. Later he did his mandatory "mystery cover". What song did he cover? One that was released last year and was critically acclaimed. Hozier's "Take Me to Church". It was amazing!! Ed killed this cover. I bet ifHozier was listening to Radio 1 this morning he'd have been saying: "Why didn't I give you this song!? You sing it better than me!". The way Ed attacked the chorus just slayed my body. He definitely took me to church with this live cover. Sick.
