Drake Tributes Lauryn Hill With New Single "Nice For What": New #1 Coming?
We knew there was a new Drake single coming this week (he announced it on concert) and he dropped it on Friday night. Entitled "Nice for What", the new Drake track, which will try to replace "God's Plan" at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, is a very much a tribute to Lauryn Hill as it heavily samples her Miseducation hit single "Ex-Factor". Over a bouncy beat produced by Murda Beatz, Blaqnmild, Corey Litwin, and Noah “40” Shebib, Drake will serve nothing but empowering lyrics.
An accompanying music video was premiered Friday at the same time. The star-studded clip sees appearances from Tiffany Haddish, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, and many more.
