Download: J. Cole & Dreamville - 'Revenge Of The Dreamers' [Mixtape]
It's J. Cole's birthday (Jan. 28th) and the German-born artist is celebrating in a big way. Not only did Cole announce his Dreamville label imprint has inked a deal with Interscope Records, but he also treated fans to a joint mixtape showcasing the team. The tape, titled 'Revenge Of The Dreamers', includes 11 new tracks and was first premiered over on the new Dreamville Records website.
For those not familiar with the Dreamville team, the label was formed back in 2007 and consists of members J. Cole, Omen, Bas, and KQuick. 'Revenge Of The Dreamers' features 5 J. Cole tracks (and 2 features) with one of them being the original version of 'Crooked Smile' and the other a snippet to his freestyle over Tupac's 'Ambitionz Az a Ridah'. The rest of the project is handled by Dreamville and singer Treasure Davis, whose single 'May The Bitter Man Win' is featured on track 10.
Alongside the release of 'Revenge Of The Dreamers', J. Cole left fans the message: "This sh*t started back in 07' Summertime. Muhammad Crib. (Check the logo on the back of The Come Up). Dreamville partnered with Interscope Records (RIP Pac!) Congrats to the Dreamville staff, the movement. This is only the beginning. Enjoy the tape!"
