Dinah Jane Has A Cute Solo Start With "Bottled Up": Single Premiere
Solo Dinah Jane is now a reality. After a messy “solo-ish” start in RedOne’s “Boom Boom” song, the Fith Harmony queen comes forward with her proper debut under the solo spotlight with her first single “Bottled Up” featuring Ty Dolla Sign (aka. Lauren Jauregui’s boyfriend) and Marc E. Bassy. “Bottled Up” was officially released on September 21, 2019 via L.A Reid’s new HITCO label.
This song can be described as a “cute bop”. I honestly was expecting this to have a more urban sound but it ended up being more R&B-pop. It’s okay, though!
Is this a “monster single”? I mean, I can definitely bop to it but it’s not a fierce single. This is no “Havana” or “Love Lies”. But for those saying Dinah Jane was going to flop with her first song and release a piece of trash; you were totally wrong! “Bottled Up” is cute and it definitely leaves that feeling in me of curiosity and wanting to hear more of solo Dinah Jane. Her vocals are so dreamy and I think if she keeps working with the right people, she will get to THAT song that will make her an “on her own” pop diva (and drop the “Fifth Harmony girl” tag at last).
