Demi Lovato - "Stone Cold" [Music Video Premiere!]
After days of endless teases, Demi Lovato premiered at last the music video for her new single “Stone Cold” last night, February 23rd, on the VEVO platform. The ballad “Stone Cold” was co-written by Demi and Laleh Pourkarim and Gustaf Thörn, and it is Demi’s absolute “favorite song” from her last year-released fifth studio album “Confident”.
To shoot this music video, Demi went to the snowy mountains (of Aspen maybe). In the “Stone Cold” clip we can see Taylor Swift’s new enemy wandering throughout the fields of snow (belting the song straight to the camera not minding the cold) or taking a hot tub bath with her clothes on at her cabin. The tears you see on Demi’s face are completely real. In one of the teasers she released prior the full music video’s premiere, she discussed, behind the scenes, about the video’s treatment, and how when the director said “cut!” she would still be crying for unexpectedly she had hit spot…”I went to that place”, was exactly what she said.
I totally believe the emotion that Demi puts in display in this music video, for I “Stone Cold” is such a personal song to her. Just pay attention to the lyrics. It’s an autobiographical song about an awful break-up.
