Demi Lovato & DJ Khaled’s Uplifting Song “I Believe” Has Arrived! (Music Video Added)
As I expected, Disney Records chose to premiere the first single from the “A Wrinkle In Time” soundtrack one day before the movie and the album get released. “I Believe”, featuring Demi Lovato and DJ Khaled, made its way onto the online realm this Thursday morning via a release on streaming platforms and a premiere of its music video on VEVO.
“Today / I saw a rainbow in the rain / It told me I can do anything / If I believe, I believe, I believe in me”, sings Demi on the chorus of this uplifting and empowering new song. True the song may strike as “too sugary”, “corny-ish” at times but we must remind ourselves this was made for a Disney movie. But sugariness and corniness aside, bravo to Demi Lovato for slaying in the vocal department. She took me to church at various stages of the song. The kid in me, all in all, enjoyed “I Believe”, and hopefully it becomes the next “Let It Go” and we see Demi, or whoever wrote this, accepting the Oscar next year. Oh, and some of the corniness of the song was definitely DJ Khaled’s fault… what were those adlibs? And that spoken outro? Didn’t he learn from P. Diddy and Jermaine Dupri’s past mistakes? They ruined several awesome songs they produced with their unnecessary adlibs/intros/outros!
