Daughtry - "Waiting for Superman" (Video)
Such a good song, and video! Daughtry are certainly making a killer comeback this year. Led by American Idol alum Chris Daughtry, the rock band are modifying their hard rock sound to a more radio-friendly, electro-pop-influenced, folk-influenced rock sound for their fourth album "Baptized", due in stores November 19 via RCA. The album's first single is the metaphorical track "Waiting for Superman". Music video just premiered. Watch above.
If this more-mainstream sound is going to make Daughtry relevant again, I applaud the change. In any case, "Waiting for Superman" is a such a fantastic song. Amazing vocals by Chris and the production is sublime. They also nailed it with the music video. It goes along perfectly with the song lyrics. The "hero" theme was the one to go for, obviously.
