Daughtry - Crawling Back To You (Music Video!)
American rock band Daughtry - led by American Idol season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry - have recently VEVO premiered the MV for their new single "Crawling Back To You", the first official cut from the band's upcoming album "Break the Spell", out November 21st via 19 Entertainment/RCA. Now that's what I call a super simplistic 'performance' vid..err...loved the different camera angles though, LOLz!
I enjoyedf Daughtry's first album, but the follow-up not so much - and that got released in 2009 - so for me this is now like Daughtry's returning after a 5-year hiatus, hehe. Therefore, I wasn't THAT interested on hearing the band's new material, however, I randomly played "Crawling Back To You" the other day, and frankly I quite liked it! It's veeery POP though, or in other words, intelligently crafted to get the most radio presence. I don't have any problems with it though...but the thing is if hardcore Daughtry fans will approve "Crawling Back To You". And my personal view is that they're not loving the song that much. Why? Thanks to decent digital sales "Crawling Back To You" managed to debut at #41 on the Hot 100 last week, but this week it's tanked til the #83 position! Ouch. Let's see the if the new music video, and upcoming promo helps the single's sales. Daughtry have one month to revert things, the time they got left til "Break the Spell" hits the stores. A hard flop would def endanger the guys' career and their RCA relationship.
