Conchita Wurst Releases Power Ballad "Heroes": Listen!
Lady with beard Conchita Wurst just released this Saturday morning (Nov. 8) a brand new single called “Heroes” on iTunes. This is the Austrian singer’s first official single since conquering Europe earlier this year with the song “Rise Like A Phoenix” which made her – and her home country of Austria – win the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest.
The new single “Heroes” is being distributed by Sony Music Austria which is Conchita’s new label. She’s said to be working with them on a full-length album that should be out soon! There’s no denying Ms. Wurst has the vocals, the talent and the charisma in her!
“Heroes” song review
No, this is not a cover of the Mariah Carey hit. It’s an original record and a power ballad. While I don’t see real potential in this song to rule over the worldwide charts, it is a phenomenal song and another piece of evidence of Conchita’s immense talent. She sings the entirety of “Heroes” so effortless. The key change in the song sick, the chorus is HUGE and the up-lifting message of the song will quickly put you in a good mood. “So let the walls come down / And the colours light up the sky / We could be heroes”, sings the 26-year-old singer in her new single “Heroes”. Don’t let nobody let you down!!! That's the moral of the song.
