Ciara Leaves Epic For Warner Bros Records! A Good Move?
After 4-ish years in L.A Reid’s Epic Records, Ciara is changing labels. The reason? No doubt the turning point was the underperformance of the 2015 album “Jackie” (sold only 25k first week. Ciara’s lowest first-week sales ever). Our personal thought is that kind L.A Reid proposed Ciara to start looking for a new label so that she could announce a “label switch” instead of him having to drop her. Better for her image.
THE NEWS: The R&B songstress announced yesterday via social media that she had inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records!
No details on how long the contract is for have emerged yet but I’m sure it’s a good agreement. Ciara is a smart girl.
Check out above and below photos of Ciara’s signing moment:
The words of the CEO of WBR:
"We welcome Ciara to Warner Bros. Records and look forward to the next chapter of her storied music career”
The words of Ciara:
“Warner Brothers Records!!! Lets Get It! Proud to announce and honored to join the family!
To all my Ladies out there...this is truly a time where we can do anything, be anything we want, & Love to the fullest while being loved in return.. there is No Limit! Dreams really do come true! I’m supercharged to make the World Dance again!”
Will we have a new Ciara album this year? Fingers crossed!
