Childish Gambino Premieres Bloody Music Video For “This Is America”: Watch
Right after the live debut of this brand new song called "This Is America" on "SNL", Childish Gambino took to YouTube to premiere the official music video for the extremely political track - which, by the way, his label is clarifying is NOT the "first single" from Childish's upcoming fourth studio album that is coming out later in 2018. So we should just take "This Is America" as an appetizer.
Directed by Hiro Murai, the music video for "This Is America", which hears Childish Gambino rapping about the black experience in the U.S, sees Donald Glover shooting a guy in the head and later gunning down an entire gospel choir. In between his murdering, Childish Gambino will do some bizarre shirtless dancing.
"This is America / Don’t catch you slippin' now / Look at how I’m livin' now / Police be trippin' now / Yeah, this is America / Guns in my area", sings Childish Gambino in his new song, which will undoubtedly be topping the iTunes Top 100 chart in a few hours. This is literally a GENIUS song.
