Cheryl Wants Us To Be All "Stars" In New Song: Stream
Cheryl promised a surprise to fans and here it is. At midnight (UK time) on Monday (Nov. 3), the British singer released a new “countdown single” from her upcoming album “Only Human” (out Nov. 10) on iTunes. It’s “Stars”. The eighth track on the album tracklisting becomes the second “countdown single” from “Only Human” – after the title track - and the fourth song we hear from Cheryl’s upcoming studio project.
“Stars” song review
Co-written by Cheryl with George Tizzard, Daniel Spencer, Dash Jones and Richard Parkhouse, “Stars” is a club/dance-friendly song that Cheryl wants fans to use as inspiration. “We can all be stars”, sings Mrs. Versini-Fernandez in the hook of “Stars” while a modern EDM beat surrounds Cheryl’s vocals.
Not a bad song actually. It’s very album track-only but I’m loving it more than “Crazy Stupid Love” and “I Don’t Care” (see how poor quality Cheryl’s new album will be?). But what’s up with Cheryl mixing too many genres in a same album? “Crazy” was urban-funk, “Care” was vintage dance music, and now “Stars” is modern EDM.
Anyways, “Stars” is a decent song; verses sound pretty and the hooks are definitely hot stuff. The production sounds pretty sleek to me too. With a nice remix, I can definitely picture myself bopping to this Cheryl song at a club.
Im SO happy you all love 'Stars' we wrote it with you in mind !! ? love you ?? enjoy ????????????
