Cheryl Gives Fierce But Mimed "I Don't Care" Performance on "X Factor UK": Watch
For Cheryl to
lip-sync on the show she’s judging contestants based on their vocals is just
sad. Mrs. Versini-Fernandez performed for the first time on television on
Sunday night (Nov. 2) her upcoming UK #1 single “I Don’t Care” - the latest offering from “Only Human” (out Nov.
7) – on “The X Factor UK”. Co-written by Bonnie Mckee, the retro-dance track
has been labeled by many as one of the “crappiest” Cheryl singles to date.
However, UK’s favorite Geordie SOLD “I Don’t Care” tonight on X Factor as if it
was one of her very best. Watch below!!!
Wearing an all-white look, including a pair of fabulous white high-heel boots, Cheryl strutted around the whole stage, accompanied by a troupe of girls, as she “sang” “I Don’t Care”. I don’t care if she denies it. She WAS miming. Maybe she sang over the backing track a few times, but I can assure she lip-synched 98% of the time. It was so obvious. And it’s pretty sad because she’s a judge on the X Factor.
Couldn’t she really make the effort to sing it all live? It’s no hard song! Anyway, miming aside, the performance “looked” really fierce. All the heavy strutting, the beauty shots, the hair tossing, the perfect-timed glancing-at-the-camera…Cheryl knew what to do to SELL “I Don’t Care” tonight. And I bought it. I’m actually liking “I Don’t Care” a bit more after this performance. And it seems the majority of the UK is feeling what I’m feeling. For “I Don’t Care” rocketed to #1 on iTunes UK minutes after Cheryl performed on X Factor. No doubt about it the song will become Cheryl’s newest #1 hit when the UK Singles Chart is updated next week.
