Charlie Puth, Flo Rida & Jason Derulo Perform at 2016 Teen Choice Awards, Producers Forget About Christina Grimmie (Shame On Them!)

teen choice awards 2016

The 2016 Teen Choice Awards, held on Sunday night (July 31), at The Forum in Inglewood, California, featured three STELLAR performers: Flo Rida, who delivered a high-energy medley consisting of “My House”, “Good Feeling, “Wild Ones (Bebe Rexha replacing Sia) and “Zillionaire”; Charlie Puth, who poured his heart with a live performance of “We Don’t Talk Anymore”; and Jason Derulo, who performed an electrifying hits-filled set made of “Watcha Say”, ”Ridin’ Solo”, “Talk Dirty”, “Wiggle”, “Want to Want Me”, and “Kiss the Sky”.

Flo Rida and Jason Derulo definitely got the party started at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards and did their jobs just fine, but damn at Charlie Puth struggling throughout his whole performance with the vocals. Either he was sick or “We Don’t Talk Anymore” is a tough song for him to sing live. In any case, BRAVO to him for FINALLY switching things up when performing “We Don’t Talk Anymore” because last night he sang the song with a standing mic for a whole minute!

Unfortunately, not everything was pretty and happy at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.

Remember when in early June after Christina Grimmie was cowardly killed after a concert in Orlando Teen Choice Awards producers used the awards show’s Twitter account to urge fans to vote for Grimmie in the “Choice Web Star: Music” category so to give the later singer a touching tribute with her first ever Teen Choice award? Well, the nice producers of the Teen Choice Awards 2016 didn’t air Christina Grimmie’s category - where she had WON - and they didn’t even mention her at all at the ceremony last night!!!

Basically they exploited her death for views and tweets.

Awful.
