Charli XCX Exploits Sexuality In “Vroom Vroom” Music Video: Watch!
Who knew there was a whole 'nother side to Charli XCX? British girl was either serving innocent ("Boom Clap") or Avril Lavigne ("Break the Rules") vibes with her first album, so imagine my shocked face when I see her new music video for "Vroom Vroom" - one of the four songs that she included on her little side project, the "Vroom Vroom" EP, which was executive produced by SOPHIE and that she released earlier this year via her very own label of Vroom Vroom Recordings. What exactly is that Vroom Vroom label? In Charli XCX's words..."Vroom Vroom Recordings is my new, experimental pop label and it will combine my love for bubblegum pop with mystery and darkness. The artists coming up through it will be sharp, potent, deadly, and ultimately, will leave their mark on pop music". There you go! I doubt Charli XCX will be leaving her pure pop sound anytime soon, Atlantic Records just wouldn't let her, but she's using this little imprint she's created to exploit her other interests; alternative synth-pop/punk music, and discovering new singers that embrace this particular genre too.

"Vroom Vroom", where Charli XCX sings about having waited all her life for that good "ride", wouldn't probably perform that well on radio but clubs would be a whole different story. The production is B.A.N.A.N.A.S. And the music video is so SEXUAL - here the reason why of my shocked face. It sees Charli XCX donning latex outfits, and serving fierce, on-point choreographies in them, putting her gigantic boobs in display with a revealing bra, and finally looking a bit too whore-ish in a red get-up that I think it was too much even for herself. OH MY!!!
