Celine Dion Debuts New Single 'Loved Me Back To Life' Live at Special Concert In Quebec
Yes! The Queen is back and she's serving contemporary realness in her new single! "Loved Me Back To Life" is the first single, and title track, from the Canadian singer's upcoming studio album, her first English one since 2007's "Taking Chances", due in stores on October 22, via Columbia. Celine performed "Loved Me Back To Life" for the first time ever during her special concert on the Plains of Abraham, a historic area within The Battlefields Park in Quebec City, on Saturday, July 27. Watch below!
"Loved Me Back To Life" is a fascinating and captivating mid-tempo ballad written by the one and only Sia. Sia's demo of "Loved Me Back To Life" actually leaked earlier this year.
I was afraid to hear the demo in advance because I thought it was going to affect my judgement of Celine's rendition as, most of the times, I tend to connect more with Sia's 'truth' in her demos, in the sense, she's the one who pens these songs for famous singers, and the songs are so her style, and are made to adapt her singing uniqueness, it's often difficult to fully love the final edits (in this case, Celine's), because you've already heard the 'real deal' in the demo. However, to my surprise, I think, in this strange case, Celine actually snatches Sia's wig, because her version of "Loved Me Back To Life" is absolutely amazing. Her vocals are out of this world good, and she nailed that performance last night.
"Loved Me Back To Life" sounds 'so right now'. I can see pop radios in the US playing Celine's new single without any problem. I think "Loved Me Back To Life" will renew some interest in her by the general public. I truly believe this! The production sounds very current, Sia's lyrics are brilliant, and Celine's vocals in the chorus will blow you away from your chair and drag you around the floor, lol. Looove it! I need an iTunes release ASAP!
"Celine...une seule fois" was a special one-time concert Celine Dion wanted to offer her fans in her native Canadian province. 60,000 people attended the outdoors show.
