Carly Rae Jepsen - "Run Away With Me" [Music Video Premiere!]
Canadian pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen premiered on Friday (July 17) the music video for her new single “Run Away With Me” on VEVO. The Shellback-produced MASSSIVE song is the official second single (and follow-up to the expected-to-have-performed-better “I Really Like You”) from Ms. Jepsen’s third studio album “E-MO-TION”, which will be out in the US in August (although it’s already in stores in Japan as it exclusively arrived there in the month of June).
“Run Away With Me” destroys “I Really Like You” in every single aspect. This should’ve been released as the first international single instead. Carly still has time to save this era from complete disaster if “Run Away With Me” gets really high on a few charts, and is loved by radio hence making her the owner of a ‘smash hit’ again and kind of securing a fourth album under Interscope for her too. She must make “Run Away With Me” a hit, though. It’s her last chance. I’ve already heard the entire album “E-MO-TION” and I’m not that impressed. “Run Away With Me” is the best song and the only bullet left for Carly, aka. last single-worthy song.
As for the “Run Away With Me” music video unveiled today, it’s proof Carly Rae Jepsen is willing to take the person she loves on a trip around the world. She takes us to Paris, New York and Tokyo is this tourist-ready visual.
