Cardi B Responds To Leak With Rush-Relase of New Single “Money” And Wins: Listen Now!
The leak of it all!
A leak of her new single forced Cardi B to rush-release “Money” last night on digital platforms. The original release date had “Money” scheduled for release this Thursday at 12:30 p.m ET but that leak foiled everything (and according to some people in forums Nicki Minaj’s fans helped spread the leak with the only intention of hurting Cardi B’s sales). Cardi B couldn’t do anything but make the announcement below:

But things worked out just fine for her, though. It’s been over 10 hours since “Money” has been out and the song is as of this post at #3 on the US iTunes chart (just behind two “A Star Is Born” soundtrack songs) and the audio video on YouTube has already been viewed over 4 million times. So I would say the leak hurt nothing thanks to Cardi B’s quick response.
Now, as for the song itself, I’m not going to lie I was hoping for Cardi B’s new single – allegedly the first single from her next album (rumored to be out in early 2019) – to be a little more mainstream and a little bit more similar in sound to “I Like It” but “Money” is fire anyway y’all. The beat is so amazing it makes feel scared and Cardi B’s flow and rap knock hard. You can do nothing but to nod your head along as this song unfolds. It’s so damn captivating. It’s one of the gifts of Miss B: to captivate listeners with anything she raps. As for the lyrics, it’s Cardi B reflecting on her success, motherhood and telling us how much she loves her money.
UPDATE: Cardi B's "next album" is actually going to be a re-release of "Invasion of Privacy". She just confirmed it in an interview. Expect the re-release to be out by the end of 2018.
