Brooke Candy Debuts New Image In "Happy Days" Music Video: Watch
The softening of her image is undeniable and scary.
Brooke Candy, who only a couple of years ago used to look like this, premiered earlier today (Feb. 4) the music video for her newest single “Happy Days” on VEVO. The electronic-urban (with a dash of pop vibes) track was released on iTunes last week and it is part of Brooke’s upcoming major label first album - which will be out later this year via RCA Records.
“Happy Days” is not the exact kind of music Brooke used to do a couple of years ago, when she released the, in my opinion, flawless “Opulence” EP, nor is her artist image the same. It’s all been softened. On whose orders? RCA’s no doubt. They evidently saw that the way Brooke Candy came across during the “Opulence” era didn’t sell nor was of the liking of radios, therefore a make-under had to be done, and here it is. “Happy Days” and the “Happy Days” music video show the new Brooke Candy, the Brooke Candy that hopes to be positively welcomed in the industry this time around.
Don’t get me wrong, “Happy Days” is a cool track, it’s just that I loved the way Brooke Candy was in the “Opulence” days, and I’m a bit upset her true self didn’t work out for her, career-wise. But I’ll still support her. Because despite this being a lower-quality version of herself, she still can create cool music, and “Happy Days” is proof.
As for the Renata Raksha-directed “Happy Days” music video that premiered today, it stars Brooke Candy – yes, that lady in the video is her – serving sexy and dramatic faces to the camera, and serving strong Miley Cyrus vibes (OMG! They look exactly the same! It’s scary!) in a cabaret lady kind of look. There’s also a scene, surely requested by Brooke herself, where she wears some crazy long artificial nails, wears skanky clothes, and rides a pony ride-on in a very vulgar manner (loves it!). This scene is obviously a tribute to her old self.
Anyway, oh my! She’s changed so much.
