Britney Spears’ Manager: “New Album 80% Done”, Sound To Be “Britney Meets The Weeknd” [Pop Emergency]
The manager of princess of pop Britney Spears, Larry Rudolph, has recently spilled the beans about the singer’s much-anticipated next studio album.
As you all know, Britney’s Las Vegas residency show is back for a new leg, it started this past weekend, and in an effort to promote the new run, her manager Larry went to do an interview in local radio of Sin City a couple of days prior the big re-opening. He talked about the new props in the show, Britney’s revamped setlist and outfits, but there was also time to discuss the singer’s upcoming projects. Take a listen below:
Regarding when can Britney’s international fans will get to see her touring in their countries, Larry Rudolph said that there is the POSSIBILITY that Britney gets to do few overseas runs of her residency show. 3 weeks in Europe and 3 weeks in Asia for instance, he said. Larry also mentioned that because of territorial restrictions established in Britney’s contract with Planet Hollywood, US fans of Britney will have to travel to Las Vegas if they want to see a Britney Spears concert in America.
With respect to Britney’s ninth studio album, the really important part of the interview, her manager Larry said that the album was about 80% done, that Britney considered it her favorite album yet, and that sound-wise it’s very “Britney meets The Weeknd” - unlike all of her previous albums that have been very pop-oriented.
Oh lord have mercy. I can not. 'Britney meets The Weeknd'? REALLY? I am beyond excited to hear THAT. Are you ready for Britney’s “The Hills” or “Can’t Feel My Face”? Our Brit Brit is finally growing up music-wise *weeps*.
To end this blog post on an even happier note, check out below a video of Britney’s performance of one of the new songs she’s included to her Las Vegas residency show’s setlist. It’s none other than “I Love Rock 'N' Roll”! And oh my… Britney was really FEELING HERSELF in this performance (her solo routine on top of that huge mechanic guitar was too "OMG HOT"). She actually looked normal again. So energetic! Could this be Britney’s best performance in years? I think so! So happy she’s added this legendary song to the setlist.
