Brandon Flowers - "Can't Deny My Love" [Music Video Premiere!]
Brandon Flowers really likes his complex music videos, huh? The frontman of The Killers premiered on Monday morning (March 30) the official visual for “Can’t Deny My Love”, the first single from his forthcoming second solo album “The Desired Effect”, in stores on May 18.
I’m a fan of the synth-rock song but my brain can’t really process this video. Was it really necessary to premiere it so early in the morning when I’m still in zombie-mode? A video of this sort should premiere from 6pm EST onwards when I can really deal with such complicated stories.
“Can’t Deny My Love” is a powerful song where Brandon expresses his devoted love for a girl, meaning he will be by her side no matter what and this was sort of the inspiration for the Robert Schober and Pat Scola co-directed music video below. It shows Mr. Flowers and his wife living in this rural area from another age. One night, Brandon follows his wife to an unknown place. He finds out she’s involved in some sort of cult and sees her being part of a devil-ish rite. Brandon’s caught spying but wakes up the following day at the site like nothing’s happened. He returns home and received a huge hug from his loving wife. It seems he won’t let his wife’s crazy beliefs mess with their relationship. So he says nothing about what he saw the other day. That’s what I understood…and I hope I’m right. It’s too early in the morning. I can’t think properly. I’m going to need Brandon’s next music video to be a little more bubblegum.
