Bjork Announces March Release of New Album "Vulnicura", Unveils Full Tracklist!
Any Bjork fans out there? (I know there are!). Well, here’s happy news for you. The Icelandic princess announced via Twitter last night (Jan. 13) that she has completed her ninth studio album (follow-up to 2011's "Biophilia") and that it will be released in March this year!!! And not only she revealed the LP's release date, Bjork confirmed the title (“Vulnicura”) and gave fans the full tracklist as well!
"6 songs written by björk, 2 songs co-written with arca, 1 with john flynn, string arrangements by björk, 6 songs produced by björk & arca, 1 by björk & arca & the haxan cloak, 2 by björk, mixed by the haxan cloak except 2 songs mixed by the haxan cloak and chris elms, mastered by mandy parnell"
Above is the photo Bjork shared on her Twitter on Tuesday night. The quoted text just below the photo is a brief post she added on Facebook at the same time of the 'announcement'. She gave details about the song's productions. For those who don't know, I had to do some research myself, this ‘Arca’ person is a Venezuela-born, London-based producer/songwriter. The Haxan Cloak is a British 'dark ambient' music producer.
Can’t understand Bjork’s hand-writting? The tracklist of “Vulnicura” is:
1. Stonemilker
2. Lionsong
3. History of Touches
4. Black Lake
5. Family
6. Not Get
7. Atom Dance
8. Mouth Mantra
9. Quicksand
Bjork last album "Biophilia" was labelled as ‘very experimental’. Wonder if she kept on 'experimenting’ while recording “Vulnicura”? (worried face! – but I’m anticipating!)
