Beyoncé Covers "Bang Bang" in HBO's "On The Run Tour" Trailer
So it is happening. Many thought HBO's "On The Run Tour" special would never see the light of day due to Beyoncé and Jay-Z's rumored future public break-up. Despite photos of the couple looking happy being released left and right over the last few days - showing to prove the relationship is still solid - several sources are still reporting that Bey and Hov are over, are sleeping in different beds at the hotels they're staying for their current stadium tour, and that a public announcement will be released once the tour concludes.
HBO had announced they would be premiering an "On The Run" television special (allegedly broadcasting the full concert at one and not individual performance as in "Beyonce x10") once the tour ended. But that was announced before the Beyoncé and Jay-Z 'split' rumors started, so many are saying that that special won't happen FOR SURE.
But mouths have been shut. The American network ("HBO") IS moving forward with the television "concert event". They premiered on Saturday (August 16th) the first trailer, and announced that the premiere date would be September 20th - only seven days after the final concert in Paris, France. Can this also mean that the rumors are false?
In the 1 minute trailer, we can see HD footage of one of the interludes from the "On The Run Tour" where Beyoncé sings "Bang Bang" - the Nancy Sinatra version - to cigar smoker Jay-Z. Then, we get to see already professionally-shot footage of the tour.
