Bastille Premiere New Song “Fake It” Via Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Show: Listen

bastille fake it

A Bastille busy week it is this one!

The English indie-rock band didn’t have enough with performing their current single “Good Grief” for the first time on television last night on “The Tonight Show”, for they had the need to keep giving their fans more. And today, July 27th, Dan Smith of Bastille gave Zane Lowe the authorization for him to world premiere on his Apple Music Beats 1 show a new track from the band’s forthcoming new album “Wild World” - it was one titled “Fake It”.

Fake It” will be released as Wild World’s first countdown single on iTunes on Friday, July 29th. But for now, you can stream it in full via an official Apple Music embed below

Still wanna waste all of my time with you”, sings Bastille’s Dan in the chorus of “Fake It” - a mid-tempo song where he explains very poetically but at times bizarrely the reasons why he wants to continue his relationship with his girlfriend - which seems to be not at its best state. NAH! GOT YOU! Actually the couple is over already and it's a desperate Dan who is asking his ex to try to "fake it" and "recreate" their relationship like nothing bad had happened. Eh? "We can only do our best to recreate / Then let's try our very best to fake it", he sings. Translation: He wants her back.
