Austin Mahone’s “Put It On Me” Music Video Is The Epitome Of Cheap: Watch
Poor Austin Mahone. The things he has to do now. Having to shoot his music videos himself with a GoPro camera that most likely he had to pay too. Where’s YMCM and Republic Records? Is Austin still signed? Because truth is, it seems not. The Texas singer hasn’t stopped releasing random new songs himself with the option of free download on SoundCloud in the last few months and so far there’s no new news about his much-delayed debut album.
One of the last new songs Becky G’s ex-boyfriend has dropped is titled “Put It On Me”, a steamy track featuring rapper Sage the Gemini. We all thought this would finally be the new official single from Austin, since a duet with Sage is no ordinary thing, that Austin would shoot a high-budget MV for it, that it would be sent to radios and that Austin would be performing it on TV, but sadly it’s just been confirmed, for real this time, that “Put It On Me” isn’t more than just another random buzz single by Austin Mahone, whose music career sadly seems to be coming to and end.
Today, October 27th, the 19-year-old singer premiered on his personal YouTube channel the official music video for “Put It On Me” and this simply is the epitome of cheap. A video shot by him, paid by him, and not at all supported by his label.
In this MV we see Austin arriving to a hotel resort, in what seems to be some part of Florida, with his friends. Rapidly the troop will hit the beach and will kick off the day by going on a jet-ski cruise. Austin will film himself singing “Put It On Me” with his GoPro. And since Sage the Gemini doesn’t appear in the video (oh my…), Austin will have to lip-dub his rap part too.
A little later in the video, and back on the beach sand and after having dried his wet body with a towel (Austins’ friend that filmed this scene knew what girls wanted), Austin will try to do a forward somersault in the air without much success. Ouch! Thank God he didn’t break any bones.
