Austin Mahone Releases Tribute Song To Late Grandmother Mema, "Not Far": Download For Free
Austin Mahone released a new song titled "Not Far" last night (Sept. 23). This pop ballad has been uploaded to Austin's YouTube and SoundCloud accounts. You can watch a sort of music video Austin's put together for this song in the former, while in the latter you can stream "Not Far" and download for free too.
"Not Far" is a tribute song dedicated to Austin's grandmother Mema who sadly passed away in 2012 after losing a fight to cancer. Yesterday, September 23rd, marked exactly the third anniversary since Mema's death so I guess Austin couldn't have picked a better timing to release "Not Far".
The Texas-born pop singer was extremely close to her grandmother Mema and this is clearly seen in the super cute collage video he's put together on YouTube (watch below). This sort of music video features personal footage of intimate family moments between Mema and Austin as well as photographs of them together. I swear my heart broke a little as I watched this collage video...(the clip when they rap together in hoodies!!! *heart breaks*).
There's nothing really negative to say about this song as I know this comes deep from Austin's heart and it's so touching.
