Ashanti - 'Never Should Have' (Music Video)
Intense! Ashanti doesn't hide her feelings in the moving music video for "Never Should Have", the latest single lifted from the R&B singer's upcoming fifth studio album, and first in five years, entitled "BraveHeart", due in stores in the US on June 11.
Directed by Sanji Senaka, and filmed in Santa Barbara, California, the captivating visual for "Never Should Have" sees Ashanti pouring her heart out as she sings the resentful lyrics on the beach, on a deserted road, and in the middle of some lost ruins, looking stunning in different flattering, and long gowns. Besides the Ashanti scenes, the video features story-lines of random people and couples who are in some way facing struggles.
"Never Should Have" is a pretty ballad, and considering the low budget Ashanti must've had, the music video isn't that bad. she knows her new single won't do anything on the charts, though. Ashanti needs the support of a major label again. Can you believe she was 'on the top' once?. Far seem her days of ruling with "Foolish", "Rock Wit U", or "Only You".
