Anitta Takes Us Back To 2004 With Her Tribute To Sean Paul In The “Terremoto” Music Video: Watch
Since November we didn’t have new music from Brazilian pop princess Anitta – well, with the exception of Maluma’s “Mala Mia” remix that got out in December. But I speak of Anitta’s own music. That drought ended on Friday, though, with the release of a brand new song titled “Terremoto” (which means “earthquake”). This collaboration with some singer named Kevinho is sung entirely in Portguese, it speaks of the seismic activity the dancing of a certain fierce female causes when she moves it really good, and it’s a song with a very upbeat, playful beat that sounds like a mix of the Carnival of Rio, a Super Nintendo game, summer at Copacabana beach and a good old dose of traditional pop. Such a delicious mix, right?
But the most delicious part of “Terremoto” isn’t the song itself but the music video, which got out on Friday too. This is a tribute to Sean Paul and his 2004 hit “I'm Still In Love With You” (from the 2002 album "Dutty Rock"). It appears this song is very dear to Anitta’s heart and she thought the “Terremoto” video was the perfect time to do this tribute. Anitta will become Sasha and OMG… I can only say she will make Sasha proud. What are you waiting for to watch this!?

Wow. The nostalgia from that time! Thank you Anitta for this. Such a well-done tribute. It’s identical! And who else agrees there’s no FIERCER performer in Brazil right now than Anitta? She murdered every dance move and every scene she did.
PS: Sean Paul better send Anitta a check with half of the royalty earnings she obtains these days thanks to the wave of streams he’s going to get thanks to Anitta’s new music video.
