Angel Haze (feat. Sia) - "Battle Cry" [Music Video Premiere]
Flop female rapper Angel Haze is releasing the best from her flop debut album "Dirty Gold", the Sia co-wrriten and Sia-assisted "Battle Cry" as her next single. Angel's "Dirty Gold" debuted last December on the US Billboard Top 200 at #15 selling almost 1,000 copies, and on the UK Albums Chart at #196 only moving 857 units.
Angel Haze actually leaked the entire album herself online in a attack to her label which had been delaying the release of "Dirty Gold" "without any reason", according to her. Island was then forced to scheduled an emergency release date for Angel's album. The sudden release clearly affected the album sales. However, time has passed, Angel has had time to promote, but "Dirty Gold" just isn't selling. Should "Battle Cry" flop, watch Island dropping Angel in 3...2...1!
"Battle Cry" is for many the best track on "Dirty Gold". Merely because it was produced by the amazing Greg Kurstin and the chorus was written and is performed by the flawless Sia. "Battle Cry" has too a powerful message in the lyrics, and Angel's delivery is quite good too, let's not lie. "Battle Cry" is the best shot Angel Haze has to smash. The single will be first promoted in the UK. All ours prayers go to Angel!
The music video for "Battle Cry" is pretty intense too, and carries the message of the song rather well. It sees Angel Haze walking on a road in the middle of desert, as we see a little girl (it's supposed to be a young Angel) going through hard times.
