Alicia slayed with a beautiful performance of her brand new single "Tears Always Win", from her album "Girl on Fire". The ballad was co-written with Bruno Mars. Oooh, she killed it! Band killed it, back-up singers did their thing, and talented Alicia - who kept it pretty simple and elegant with her outfit choice - gave everyone goosepbums with her emotional vocals. But please, please, please release "One Thing" next! That's my jam.
Also on Thursday (May 9) evening, Idol alum Lauren Alain took the stage to debut her new single "Barefoot and Buckwild", the lead cut from her upcoming sophomore studio album. I used to like Alaina. Her song "Like My Mother Does" was so nice. However, she ain't starting this era with the right foot if you ask me. "Barefoot and Buckwild" sounds cheesy and it's very inspid. I don't see Lauren's music career lasting long. I'm sorry.
