Alessia Cara Is Ready For A Break-Up In “Trust My Lonely”: Single Premiere

alessia cara trust my lonely

Do I hate this? No. Do I love it? Meh.

Alessia Cara is not connecting with me this era. I’ve loved none of the singles she’s released from her upcoming album “The Pains of Growing” to date and this new one “Trust My Lonely” is unfortunately no exception. The song isn’t bad, it’s just that it is a little bit too insipid/doesn’t go anywhere for me. And definitely isn’t single material at all.

The Canadian singer-songwriter released “Trust My Lonely” today (Oct. 5) on digital platforms and premiered the music video this morning as well on YouTube. The song is all about being vulnerable and the music video sees Alessia wearing an oversized suit and acting a fool at the beach, the forest, on the street, in a stadium, among other places.

Further explanation on "Trust My Lonely" from Alessia's own words below:

Are you loving this or do you also have a problem with this era?
