5 Seconds Of Summer Announce New Single “Want You Back”: See Artwork + Lyrics
3 years have been since 5 Seconds of Summer released their second album “Sounds Good Feel Good”. And today the Australian band finally announced their much-anticipated return. Just moments ago they revealed the title of their new single, “Want You Back”, unleashed the official cover art, and announced the song would be released this Friday, February 23rd. No confirmed date yet on the release of upcoming third studio album though, but considering the first single is coming out in a few days, I’d bet the album is hitting stores at some point this spring.
Printed on the cover art are the lyrics of “Want You Back”, I believe that in their entirety, so I’ve typed them down for you to check out in detail. Find them below too along with everything else.

LYRICS
Can’t help but wondering if this is the last time that I’ll see your face
Is it tears or just the f*cking rain
Wish I could say something
Something that doesn’t sound insane
But lately I don’t trust my brain
You tell me I won’t ever change
So I just say nothing
I remember the roses on your shirt
When you told me this would never work
You know even when I say I’ve moved on
Yeah I still dream for you
You know even when I say I moved on
You know even though I know that you’re gone
All I think about is where I went wrong
Yeah I still dream for you
No matter where I go I’m always gonna want you back
No matter how long you’re gone I’m always gonna want you back
I know you know I will never get over you
No matter where I go I’m always gonna want you back
Want you back
No matter where I go I’m always gonna want you back
No matter where I go I’m always gonna want you back
No matter how long you’re gone I’m always gonna want you back
I know you know I will never get over you
No matter where I go I’m always gonna want you back
Want you back
You know even when I say I moved on
You know even though I know that you’re gone
All I think about is where I went wrong
Always gonna want you back
Want you back
Always gonna want you back
Want you back
From the lyrics, it’s evident “Want You Back” will be up-tempo, anthemic, relatable, and sing alongey. And sure thing it’ll be rock too? Or do you think 5SOS will be tempted to “sell-out” their sound in order to obtain a larger audience this era?
