The time is now. The 5 Seconds of Summer project that began in 2011, when friends Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford and Calum Hood – later to be joined by Ashton Irwin – started posting cover videos on YouTube that attracted a major fan base that made them sign a major deal with Capitol Records, will see in the following weeks their self-titled debut album be released in stores all around the world. However, it's honest to say that the most important date is July 22 because that's when '5 Seconds of Summer' will become available in the U.S.

The '5 Seconds of Summer' album will come in so many different versions. There’s the Australian version, the American version, the UK version, the Japanese version, and I think that’s it. Oh, wait a minute, in America there will be 'another version' if you decided to get the album at Target stores. All versions will feature different bonus tracks. So good luck getting them all, you true 5SOS fans!

The sound of the album is pop-punk-rock. It’s very - 30-year-old people-oriented due to its lyrics, and there will be a few ballads too. It’s not all loud guitar riffs.
