2014 iHeartRadio Music Festival's Day 1 Performances [Full Sets]
For the fourth consecutive year the iHeartRadio Music Festival is being held in Las Vegas. The 2014 edition kicked off on Friday night (Sept. 19) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena with live performances by: Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Nicki Minaj, Usher and Ariana Grande. Watch the full sets from Day 1 below:
Ariana Grande performed a few tracks from her new album “My Everything” and also had time to plug her collaboration with Jessie J, “Bang Bang”. She even brought Nicki Minaj on stage to perform the two their respective parts. (DEAD at Ari and Nicki promoting this song more than Jessie J in the U.S).
Taylor Swift rocked the MGM Grand Garden Arena with performances of old and new music. She performed her #1 song “Shake It Off". Unfortunately, that was the only new song from her upcoming album “1989” that she played last night.
Usher set the stage ablaze with show stopping performances, and treated the crowd with a surprise when he was joined by Chris Brown for a dance-off and joint performance of "New Flame" - the latest urban hit from Chris' "X" album.
Nicki Minaj performed a 30-minute set that included a bunch of her most popular songs as well as her recent monster hit “Anaconda”. Yes, she did the "Anaconda" dance.
British rock band Coldplay moved everyone at the arena with their uplifting songs. Chris Martin and Co. closed their set with their Avicii-produced hit “A Sky Full of Stars”.
