World Premiere: Beyonce (ft. Nicki Minaj) - "Flawless (Remix)" [Audio / Review]
The rumors were true. Word in the streets had it that the reason why Nicki Minaj pushed back the 'official' release to "Anaconda" one week (although it was all futile as the song leaked and forced her to push up the release in the end) was because she had recorded last minute the official remix to the song “Flawless” with Beyoncé, and that King B has said she wanted to drop the remix this week too. Meaning, there was no place for “Anaconda” this week. Of course, Nicki bowed down to the King B. And it was true! The official remix to the fierce song from Beyoncé’s latest self-titled album dropped very late night on Saturday, August 2 via SoundCloud!
In the 3:55-minute long remix - of the Hit-Boy and Boots co-produced "Flawless" – Beyonce addresses in the new lyrics the infamous elevator incident among Jay-Z, Solange and her. “Of course sometime shit go down when it’s a billion dollars on an elevator,” she sings. Meanwhile, Onika, aka Nicki Minaj, unleashes one of her sickest verses ever. It's like she knew she had to step up her game for Beyoncé. "The queen of rap slaying with Queen Bey / If you ain’t on the team, you playin’ for team D", raps the Iggy Azalea nemesis in her verse, showing her devotion for the Blue Ivy momma.
As of this post, the "Flawless" remix isn't available for purchase anywhere.
