[Video] Pharrell Performs "Happy" & "Frontin'" at Clive Davis' 2014 Pre-Grammys Gala
Pharrell took the stage at the Clive Davis 2014 Pre-Grammys Gala at The Beverly Hilton Hotel last night (Jan. 25) to perform two of his most known "solo" songs. The producer of this year's monster hit "Blurred Lines", played the oldie but goodie "Frontin'" (from 2006's "In My Mind") as well as his new, rising-to-the-top single "Happy", that is music from the "Despicable Me 2" soundtrack, but also from Pharrell's upcoming LP.
"Frontin'" was one of my jams back in the day. So, it felt amazing watching Pharrell singing it live again, after a very long time, yesterday (I bet I'll be obsessed with this song for an entire week). "Happy" is also an amazing feel-good record. It was a mere "soundtrack" song when it was released, but look at where it is now. Topped the UK Singles Chart, and it's killing it in the US as well. This can go #1 in America if Pharrell a little bit of promotion.
