The Veronicas Get Revenge In "You Ruin Me" Music Video

the veronicas you ruin me video

Very Black Swan, huh? The Veronicas premiered a few hours ago on VEVO the music video for “You Ruin Me”, the first single from the Australian sisters’ forthcoming third studio album due in stores in either late 2014 or early 2015 via Sony Music. The power ballad “You Ruin Me” was released on iTunes Australia also today (September 19th) and it immediately grabbed the #1 position. Congratulations are in order but the question is: how long will they hold at #1?

“You Ruin Me” is a nice ballad, and I really “liked” it on the first listen, but the more I listen to it the more I get unattached. And the music video The Veronicas just premiered online isn't helping. The Black Swan-inspired visual - whose plot they definitely come up with after watching the Natalie Portman film – shows The Veronicas as performers at a theatre where a ballet piece should be portrayed. What we get instead, though, is Sister #1 playing the piano, and Sister #2 being a lead singer on stage before an audience of ZERO people. Once the song’s over, a spotlight is turned on, and we can see at the back of the theatre the ballet teacher of the sisters tied to a seat. He didn't treat them well and now it's his turn to suffer.

The plot may not sound that bad at all, but watching the video wasn’t the most pleasing experience ever I must say. I found myself skipping a few parts. The Veronicas look beautiful, but I just wasn’t that captivated by the video.
