The Script Cover Sia's "Chandelier" on BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge": Listen
The Script made its seventh appearance on BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” at midday today (September 2nd). The Irish band visited the Fearne Cotton-hosted show to perform a two-song acoustic set. The first song they did was "Superheroes" - which is the lead single from their upcoming album “No Sound Without Silence” (September 12th) and currently holds the #1 position on UK iTunes – while the second song was a mystery cover and an acoustic cover that you will be impressed by.
Sia’s “Chandelier”. That was The Script’s cover choice. The song may be losing momentum now but Danny O'Donoghue and Co. knew that if they were to do the "Live Lounge" this year, “Chandelier” had to be the song they covered. (“Chandelier” is the lead single from Sia’s new album “1000 Forms of Fear”).
They blew me away with their acoustic rendition of "Superheroes", but The Script blew me away even more with their cover of “Chandelier”. Totally amazing, and totally unique. The three-man harmonies throughout the song was something I was not expecting. Sia will feel very proud when she hears this.
