The Saturdays (ft Flo Rida) - Higher (New Version!)
As I had reported in early August, British girl-group The Saturdays would be releasing "Higher" as the second single from their "Headlines" EP and that the catchy tune would be remixed with new vocals by US rapper Flo Rida for its official single version. Well, this new cut premiered last night coinciding with the season finale episode of The Saturdays' ITV 2 reality show. Sorry girls but I ain't liking this. I'm sure you wanted Flo Rida on this remix so his presence boosts up the sales of the single (ironically it was Flo Rida who prevented the girls from scoring their first #1 with "Missing You") but it just doesn't work for me. Flo Rida adds little to the song, and he made the fantastic middle 8 disappeared! Noooooo! I'm sad lol. But what can I do, the decision has been already taken. I just have to wish The Saturdays the best of luck. However, I feel they will have big competition when "Higher" is released on November 1st in the UK as Nadine Coyle also puts out her debut solo single "Insatiable" that day.
