Solange - 'Losing You' (Music Video)
Making both the audio and video premiere of her new single "Losing You", R&B songstress Solange - aka Beyonce's little sister - is back with new music after four long year of hiatus! Written by Solange and Dev Hynes, and produced by Blood Orange, "Losing You" is a funky vintage disco number that is totally slaying me at the moment! So simple but so well-sung by sis Solange. Her vocals in this truly mesmerize!
As for Losing You's music video, this was directed by Melina Matsoukas - no suprise here - and filmed in some underprivileged neighborhood in Cape Town, South Africa. I like this a lot too! Solange looks GOOD. Her fashion style is 'fresh', plus her afro hair totally gives the whole thing an extra 'umph'. Loved the 'concept' of the video as well. It's very 'care-free'. Especially loving those scenes of Solange dancing - kind of weird, but nonetheless cool (very M.I.A) - next to an old lady seated in a chair in front of her house. By the way, it's not confirmed if "Losing You" is a first single of an upcoming full-length album but I hope YES.
