Nicki Minaj will bring out her Trinidad and Tobago “island” swagger in her new collaboration with David Guetta titled “Hey Mama”. A few years after setting the charts ablaze with “Turn Me On”, the French DJ and the raptress re-unite to record “Hey Mama” which will appear on Guetta’s forthcoming new album “Listen” – out in stores on November 24th. There’s no denying this song will become an official single later in the “Listen” era. Any track that has Nicki as a guest artist must be released a single. That’s a rule.
November 24th looks too far away? Then rejoice Barbz! iTunes just released the 1:30 snippets of ALL the tracks on “Listen” and “Hey Mama” is one of them of course. Listen below to a big chunk of the new David and Nicki collabo and get slayed a bit. The song sounds like it’s gonna be FIRE. It’s club-ready, Guetta’s produced a killer beat, and Nicki’s verses sound wig-snatching hot. Love it when she adds a little “island” flavor to her music! And she can do so with proud and naturalness because she is originally from an island. Can November 24 be here already please? Can’t wait to hear “Hey Mama” in full! Nicki is gonna bring SUMMER in November. Will have to wait to listen in full to see if this is actually better than “Turn Me On”, though!
