NEW! Shakira (feat. Rihanna) - "Can't Remember To Forget You" [Full Audio + Review]
It is here. Listen now to, and let you ears be blessed with, the first Shakira and Rihanna collaboration "Can't Remember To Forget You". The pop anthem is the official lead single from the Colombian singer's fourth English album, and eighth of her career so far. Many state this "major" pop duet was possible due to the fact Shak and RiRi are now sharing the same management team (Roc Nation).
LQ snippets of "Can't Remember To Forget You" leaked online over the weekend. Fortunately for Shakira, though, the full song didn't leak and she could follow with the scheduled official world premiere today (January 13) via VEVO and 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles's "On Air With Ryan Seacreast".
"Can't Remember To Forger You" isn't a "cluber smasher", "party-ready", "EDM" song in principle (something many expected in a way), but a "pure pop" number. Whether the song could have been "better-planned", and more "grandiose sounding", this being a Shakira and Rihanna duet, it gives the song such "hype" (or an indescribable feeling) that makes you love it no matter what.
The production of "Can't Remember To Forger You" is a little bit reggae and pop-rock. Shakira sings first verse, first chorus, Rihanna comes in for the second verse, Shakira and Rihanna share the second chorus, and Shakira takes over the bridge and final chorus. It gives me the impression the two recorded their parts separately...
